The next day
Wow… What an amazing group of people I know.
So, last night, I announced on the Twitter that Kelci is expecting. Silly me, I did it in the middle of cooking Christmas dinner and I was by no means ready for the response. Within seconds, despite Twitter being a digital wasteland, I had people congratulating Kelci and I. Seriously, just search here. Or here.
I didn’t get a chance to reply to everybody there, but I just want to extend a heart-felt thank you to everybody. While our lives are definitely changing, the lives of those around us will be changing as well.
For example, my mom will be visiting Washington for the first time in nearly six years, making what I think is her third trip since my dad died nearly 25 years ago… All of my friends don’t know it yet, but they’re about to become a pretty important support network. And my life will be different too. And I couldn’t be happier.
