We made a big baby, go figure
It’s not common to have an ultrasound at 39 weeks, 5 days. But that’s what we did this morning. As you can imagine, I am pretty capable of making a big baby.
I was 10 lbs, 21 inches
Kelci was 8 lbs 8 oz
All three of my sisters were 10 days late and bigger babies.
And now let me introduce you to Kylah, who as of this morning’s ultrasound is approximately 9 lbs.

The doctor isn’t worried. She wants us to carry on and wait for a natural labor to start. All of the pieces are there and all of her systems are working wonderfully. Oh, and she’s definitely still a she.
We won’t get beyond 41 weeks, though, so by the end of next week, we’ll be welcoming Baby Berto into this world and out of her comfortable home.
Also, we’re not the only ones waiting for our baby to arrive. Our friends Josh and Annie are patiently waiting for Ali to get here too. Annie posted this hilarious list on why it’s time for Ali to come. I’d like to add #11 to the list: Play dates!
